Shed the worries of managing or putting up with hair care & hair problems.

Check out the following tips for better hair care.

Give Your Hair A Boost :
Have a new cut ! If you've had the same style for ages, don't you think it's time for an update? a few layers, a change of parting or adding a fringe can make a difference and may knock years off you.

Ask your hairdresser what colour changes would look good on your hair.

Add warm and cool tones through hair to add contrasting lights.

Shampoo Issues !:
Don't be fooled into thinking shampoos and conditioners loaded with vitamins are better for your hair. With the exception of Vitamin B5, the others can't be absorbed, hence they are useless.

If you have coloured hair you should avoid using anti-dandruff shampoos, as these have been found to accelerate fading in some instances.

If your hair feel rough when you finish shampooing, this could be an indication that the shampoo you are using is too harsh and not suitable for your hair type.

Hair Smart :
Research has shown that a fat-free diet can affect the condition of your hair, causing it to look dull and lifeless, and can also result in a dry scalp.

If your hair suddenly becomes dry, it is advisable to increase your intake of essential fatty acids found in vegetable oils, nuts and oily fish, such as sardines, red mullet and salmon.

Hair Highlights :
How often should hair be washed?

It is a total myth that you can't wash hair everyday. Clean hair is the best hair highlight. It is over-shampooing that should be avoided.

In the summer months, hair collects more dirt and washing it regularly is necessary, especially in metropolitan cities, where chemical and pollutants cling to the scalp.

In summer, hair should be washed three times a week or more, if needed. But use a small quantity of shampoo and choose a mild, herbal one.

Give your hair, a cold rinse prior to turning off the shower - it closes follicles, so locks in shine.
